•Detailed review of monthly management reporting including philanthropic reporting
•Assisting in development of initiative budget and initiative expense reporting processes
- Working with internal and external client personnel to develop business plan and strategy
-Developing workflow for processes including use of budget functionality of grants management system, reporting requirements and timing
•Supervising, mentoring and developing team members while ensuring timely cash management process for all business entities
•Review of 10 year giving projections from various giving sources including review of 5% minimum distribution requirements for private foundations and cash flow projections for each of the various giving sources to ensure available funding for domestic and international giving
•Managing team in pre-grant due diligence including review of grant agreements, proposed budgets, reporting requirements for grantees, and legal approvals
•Managing facilitation of charitable giving from all sources, including review of monthly cash requirements, reconciliations of g/l to charitable database, 5 year projections by focus area, review of materials for Board and Program Committee Meetings, and analysis of giving to ensure target tax goals are met
•Managing post-grant due diligence including review of reporting submissions, liaise with client personnel to provide feedbackRequirements / Qualifications:
•8+ years in Accounting/Auditing, including public accounting experience with 5+ years of supervising/managing others; experience with private foundations or not-for-profit entities a plus.
•Strong technical accounting, financial reporting and analytical skills, including working knowledge of technical accounting literature and its application to private foundations and other relevant topics.
•Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with the ability to plan and prioritize within a multi-client dynamic environment. Ensure efficient and timely deliverables and adapt quickly to a changing environment.
