Job Description:

In this role, you will provide controls and expertise around the valuation of positions within both Private Equity and Permanent Capital Vehicles. You will be working closely with Portfolio Managers, traders, risk management, operations, auditors, and counterparties to ensure complete and proper valuations.

 The Valuations Analyst will:

* Build and maintain models to ensure proper valuation of illiquid securities (structured credit/private equity/complex derivatives/ mortgage-related fixed-income securities)

* Review and analyze company financials/historical performance and determine reasonableness of valuation assumptions

* Prepare/present presentations for Valuation Committee meetings

* Create pricing model per deal documents for new investments

* Actively contribute to research, report generation and financial modeling 

Requirements / Qualifications:


  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, post graduate degree is a plus* 2-4 years of relevant experience working in financial services, public experience preferred
  • An excellent understanding of equity securities and fixed-income products. Experience in mortgage-related securities is a plus, but not required
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, Power Point and Word
  • Experience using Bloomberg and Capital IQ. Experience with Intex software is a plus
  • Strong modeling and valuation skills, coupled with an understanding of financial reporting systems, procedures and controls
