Responsible for monthly management company accounting and reporting, expense and budget analysis / cash flow management as it relates to respective fund(s) and entities on a GAAP and MIS basis

Job Description:

  • Responsible for monthly management company accounting and reporting, expense and budget analysis / cash flow management as it relates to respective fund(s) and entities on a GAAP and MIS basis
  • Coordinate month-end close process for funds and administrator; review NAV allocations and statements / year-end valuations by deal teams; reconcile P&L and positions, as necessary
  • Annual audit and tax returns / analysis and liaise with relevant tax advisors
  • Provide Operations with support / oversight as needed (capital calls, waterfall analysis, risk reports, FX, etc.)
  • Generate / monitor wire transfers, manage vendors, payroll and AP / AR related functions
  • Lead design, documentation and maintenance of adequate internal controls
  • Coordinate between the front office, operations, and fund administrator to ensure appropriate treatment of firm financial information

Requirements / Qualifications:

  • Strong self-motivated work ethic willing to take ownership of work product and identify potential issues and outline remedies / solutions
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple work streams in a timely fashion
  • Effective communicator with track record of problem solving without direction
  • Emotional maturity and professionalism
  • Expertise in Quickbooks, Excel, PowerPoint to create monthly reports / presentations, bank related products / services / security controls to process and manage wire transfers / expenses / payroll
    • 7 to 10 years of experience in private equity and hedge funds
    • CPA along with experience in fund accounting and US / IFRS GAAP
    • Familiarity with fund and management company related tax matters
    • Strong prior employment performance ranking 
    • Strong academic record 
      • Desire to work at a small but high growth firm in an entrepreneurial setting
      • Ability to adapt to a dynamic work schedule when necessitated by time constraints, deadlines and connectivity across time zones
