Job Description:

Assistant Vice President’s responsibility is to lead the Management Company accounting team, and support the Corporate Controller. The main responsibilities are as follows:


  • Manage a team of three employees including two corporate accountants and one AP Clerk.
  • Research and analyze GAAP guidance and implications
  • Prepare monthly Management Company financials on both Deconsolidated GAAP and MIS basis of accounting.
  • Prepare quarterly GAAP basis financials including full consolidation of Variable Interest Entities (“VIEs”) and Voting Interest Entities (“VOEs”).
  • Work closely with the other Finance teams to ensure that information is communicated consistently throughout the group.
  • Build reports and improve efficiencies through automation
  • Manage the AP process ensuring that all invoices are processed in a timely manner.
  • Leverage the corporate General Ledger, Microsoft Dynamics GP for efficiency
  • Lead the effort design, document and maintain adequate internal controls for selected management company processes.
  • Handle adhoc request and provide support to other teams when required

Requirements / Qualifications:

This full-time position is located in New York City and reports to the Corporate Controller.  The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree with significant accounting and finance coursework (CPA preferred).  The ideal candidate should have 8 – 12 years of relevant experience, preferably a portion of which is with a big 4 accounting firm. 


Candidate should be self-motivated, take initiative, a team player with excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and good knowledge of excel.
