Job Description:

o    Review and oversee cash management process and accounting for high net worth clients including but not limited to:

§  Accounts payable and credit card processing for multiple entities (personal, corporate, foundation), general ledger coding, check and wire preparation

§  Cash receipts processing, review deposits and general ledger coding

§  Assist Relationship Manager with employee Handbooks, performance/metrics, HR issues/compliance

§  Month end activities including review bank and fixed asset reconciliations, monthly investment journal entries, intercompany elimination entries and other month end closing entries

o    Maintain and review General Ledger

o    Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements and all supporting schedules (balance sheet, income statement, statement of cash flows, cash projections and other schedules)

o    Record and reconcile accounts based on Partnership accounting requirements

o    Understand clients’ investments, assets, liabilities, expenditures and related transactions

o    Prepare and assist with Ad-hoc reporting including but not limited to budget to actual, construction management and fixed asset reports

o    Coordinate asset purchases, sales & financing transactions, contract monitoring/compliance and insurance monitoring and oversight

o    Interact daily with multiple clients, financial institutions and vendors

o    Assist with tax requests

o    Payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees, expense reimbursements, benefits, and payroll tax administration

o    Ensure junior staff is maintaining client files and records in accordance with the team procedures

o    Work with team to streamline accounting process, train junior staff and oversee daily client tasks

o    Ability to foresee manager/client requests and proactively manage expectations

Requirements / Qualifications:

o    Bachelors degree in accounting or finance and 3+ years accounting experience required (Partnership, Trusts and GRAT a plus)

o    Experience working with affluent individuals, families, executives and owners of closely held businesses

o    Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is a must; advanced Excel skills preferred

o    Experience in Dynamics a plus (experience in a major ERP system required)

o    Non-profit experience is a plus

o    Must have the flexibility to work on multiple projects simultaneously, possess the ability to prioritize duties, and complete tasks in an accurate/efficient manner

o    Excellent written and oral communication skills

o    Strong organizational and analytical skills

o    Ability to work in a team-oriented and client-focused environment

o    Ability and desire to take on more responsibilities and oversee junior staff

o    Knowledge of tax, investments and/or insurance is a plus

o    Partnership accounting is a plus
